At heart, we remain a Slovenian family business that rests on and supports local cooperation. In Slovenia alone we employ more than 110 people in development, production, and support for our global sales network, and we also collaborate with more than 70 local partners.

The story of HYLA began in 1990 when two determined engineers set out to create a vacuum cleaner that would not blow dust back into the room, a cleaner that could clean the air as well as the floor, and would also be sustainable. No chemicals, no traditional filters, and no bags.

Today, our goal is to help people, families and individuals, around the world to live in a clean home and lead a healthy life. HYLA recreates indoors what nature does with rain — it uses water.

Each HYLA unit is designed with longevity in mind aiming at low maintenance. The HYLA system lifespan is measured in decades, as users around the world confirm. Customers can still repair HYLA products manufactured more than 30 years ago. At our company, we follow the idea of sustainability and advocate the ‘right to repair’. This allows our customers to use their HYLA for an exceptionally long time.

The basic components of the HYLA system are manufactured by suppliers with whom we have built long-term partnerships. More than 80 % of our suppliers, selected for their outstanding quality, are Slovenian, including Domel, Orkaplast and Penca. This allows us to offer a high degree of flexibility and keep our strategic activities in Slovenia.
